KANDAHAR AND KABUL SHOWS A HIT (BEFORE A SNOWY END IN BASTION)

Despite our best planning efforts, we’ve not been able to get out of Camp Bastion for our last few Afghanistan tours. Sometimes it’s been for operational reasons and once giant hailstones stopped us....true story.

This time, our luck was in and we took comedians Phil Nichol and Andy Robinson, music duo Front Cover and the CSE Dancers to both Kandahar and Kabul.

It was very exciting to be back and we had a fabulous time in both locations, delivering two great shows to two great audiences!

We had hoped to also get to Lashkar Gah but the weather was not our friend on this trip and our transport was cancelled due to a massive electrical storm.

Instead we stayed in Bastion where to our amazement (considering a certain dancer had been sunbathing only days before) we got snowed in…. Yes, it can snow in the middle of the desert! Covered with a white dusting, the whole of Camp Bastion looked quite beautiful, until the next day when it all turned to sludge.
